The focus of "Editing Your Papers for Publication" will be learning about and practicing local and global revision strategies to help you prepare your draft papers for publication. We'll also discuss how to identify which journals will make a good home for your research, how to communicate effectively with journal editors, and how to respond to and implement feedback.

About the Facilitatior:
Lisa earned a PhD in English and cultural studies from McMaster in 2014, and is an experienced writer, teacher of writing, and editor. During her degree, Lisa worked as a Senior Writing Advisor at McMaster’s writing centre, where she worked one-on-one with graduate and undergraduate students from across disciplines to develop individualized strategies for student writers and researchers. Lisa currently works as an editing consultant and grant writer, and her research has been published in Studies in Canadian Literature and Postcolonial Text. Lisa lives in Hamilton, Ontario.
